Terms of Use

1. Your account

• You must be at least 18, or have the permission of a parent or guardian who agrees to these terms.
• Give accurate details and keep your password safe. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• A membership is for one person. Please do not share your login or the course materials.

2. Membership and billing

• Lesson 1 is free. Full access needs a membership: $14.95 a month or $143.52 a year (US dollars, plus any tax that applies where you live). The price is shown before you pay.
• Memberships renew automatically at the end of each month or year, and the card you used is charged for the next period, until you cancel.
• You can cancel anytime from your account page. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you will not be charged again.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
• If we change the price, we will tell you by email before it applies to you, and the new price only applies from your next renewal. You can cancel before then.

3. Refunds

You can try lesson 1 for free before you buy. Apart from that, payments are not refundable and we do not refund the unused part of a period when you cancel, except where the law requires it or we agree otherwise.

If you live in the European Union, the United Kingdom or another country that gives consumers a legal right to withdraw from an online purchase, you can use that right by writing to us at info@1000feetabove.com within 14 days of your first payment, and we will refund it. If something went wrong with a payment, contact us and we will sort it out.

4. How you may use the course

• The videos, sheets, workbooks, MIDI files, audio and ear-training exercises are for your personal study. You may print the PDFs and use the MIDI files in your own practice and in your own original music.
• You may not copy, download (other than the files we offer for download), resell, share, publish or upload the course materials, or use them to build a competing course or to train AI models.
• Everything on the site is owned by us or our licensors. Songs, artists and trademarks are mentioned only to teach and discuss music; they belong to their owners, who are not affiliated with or endorsing Music Secrets.

5. Microphone and MIDI features

The sing-it-back exercises use your microphone, and the playable keyboard can use a MIDI keyboard, only after you allow it in your browser. The sound is analysed on your device and is never recorded or sent to us.

6. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the site: no attempts to break its security, scrape it, overload it, get around the paywall, or use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms; if we close it without a good reason, we will refund the unused part of your membership.

7. Changes to the course and the site

We add new lessons regularly and may update, improve or replace existing ones. We try to keep the site available at all times but cannot promise it will never be interrupted.

8. Our responsibility

Music Secrets is an educational course, provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or the rights you have under the consumer laws of the country where you live.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change matters for your membership, we will tell you by email before it applies.
