Seventh Chords
Add one more note to a chord, and it stops sounding plain. It starts sounding like jazz, neo soul, and the blues.
In this lesson you'll
- Build the four main seventh chords.
- Hear what each one does.
- Add sevenths to a loop you already know.

Remember
Stack one more third. Major seven, dominant seven, minor seven, and half diminished.
Major seven floats, dominant seven pulls home, minor seven prepares the five.
In a major key, five is the only dominant seventh. Major sevens on one and four, minor sevens on two, three and six.
